![]() Elaine will be missed deeply by all those that were fortunate enough to come into contact with her. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family, talking to relatives over the phone, and welcoming friends and family to her Delta Township home. Family was always what was most important to Elaine. More than anything else - Elaine was a loving mother and doting grandmother. Elaine will always be remembered for her laugh, being a supportive mother, her love of romance novels, watching television, a cup of coffee with two sugars and cream, “causing trouble”, and loving all God’s creatures in fact, she fostered and found homes for dozens of cats for the Friends of Ingham County Animal Shelter. As a nurse, she worked at facilities in Connecticut and across metro-Detroit. She worked as a hospital librarian and school librarian for Warren Schools. She also earned a degree in Library Science from Washington University in St. During her professional career, Elaine was a licensed practical nurse. The family moved to Heidelberg, Germany shortly after where she taught international students courses on ethics and cultural studies. Elaine met Demetrius and they married shortly thereafter in 1967. She was welcomed to God’s Kingdom by her predeceased mother, father, and beloved sister, Marcia. Elaine, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend is survived by her husband, Demetrius (Lesvos, Greece) daughter, Penelope Tsernoglou and son-in-law, Steve Ross (East Lansing) granddaughter Lillian Ross and cat, Fluffy. She was born June 16, 1944, in East Haven, Connecticut, to Frances and William. ![]() Elaine Carol (Mursko) Tsernoglou, 79, of Lansing, entered Heaven on Sunday, July 9th, 2023.
